Program Coordinator

Police connecting at risk and vulnerable community members to external support service providers has become an embedded strategy of QPS frontline operational policing. Simply known as 'Police Referrals', this strategy enables early and effective interventions in relation to a broad range of social issues where referred individuals are engaged to achieve sustainable outcomes.
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
- Identify opportunities for improvement and conduct research and contribute to the development of policy, strategy, procedures, practises and provide sound advice regarding the Police Referrals Service to multi-disciplinary teams within the Queensland Police Service.
- Coordinate and gather information from a network of district-based referral coordinators for the investigation of policing outcomes and the development and implementation of strategies to reduce reoffences and revictimization.
- Prepare and present submissions, reports and other correspondence to management, and provide recommendations on matters relating to Police Referrals.
- Develop and maintain effective networks and communication channels with internal and external clients and stakeholders, including representing the QPS in various forums. encourage a healthy, safe and inclusive workplace culture.
- Lead and manage the Police Referrals Program team in delivering quality advice and encourage a healthy, safe and inclusive workplace culture.
