Our client, a large Queensland Government Department, is seeking to engage an experienced **Program Coordinator**. You will work with the Executive Program Manager to manage the successful delivery of the Rural Water Futures Program. This will include identifying and providing authoritative advice on program management issues and project delivery options; providing high-level Program submissions and reports for Government and Executive Management consideration; and managing all aspects of Program delivery including program planning and delivery, program reporting, risk management and governance.

This is an initial 12-month contract with potential to extend, based in Brisbane's CBD.

**Key duties and accountabilities**:

- Lead and manage the Rural Water Futures Program (RWF), providing program management methodology, discipline and expertise to realise program outcomes and achieve program benefits.
- Identify emerging issues and provide high level, expert and authoritative advice to senior management on complex program management issues, to ensure the achievement of the RWF objectives.
- Manage the delivery of RWF projects by establishing and maintaining a Program Management Plan, delivering the monthly Program report, managing Program risks and issues and maintaining Program risks and issues register, and leading and managing the Governance required to meet RWF objectives in a timely manner.
- Work with the Delivery Manager and project manager to progress the individual program initiatives, including resolution of issues, resources and oversight of program risks.
- Exercise judgement, authority and high level influence to effectively coordinate the management of divisional requirements and competing team priorities.
- Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships with colleagues and with other levels of government, industry, and non-government organisations to achieve RWF outcomes and deliver on Government commitments.
- Represent the RWF vision and the department's vision, values and strategic agenda with clients, stakeholders, and external organisations and other State and Commonwealth agencies.
- Contribute to departmental resource prioritisation processes to deliver on RWF outcomes. Ensure a culture of service delivery and high performance amongst Program Support staff, which recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
- Mentor, coach and provide advice and guidance to PMO and Project Managers while contributing to their professional development, including monitoring performance and development
- Ensure the team is sufficiently equipped with the necessary skills, capabilities and experience to perform to a high level in order to respond to service delivery requirements and deliverables.
