Exciting new opportunity to establish and lead the newly created centralised TA function for our Distribution Centres. Your role will focus on developing and implementing hiring plans for our weekly paid workforce, which also includes the design and delivery of associated recruitment projects and processes.

In turn, you will also be responsible for building a Talent Acquisition team to specialise in sourcing and hiring for our Distribution Centres.

Crucial to this role will be the close relationships between our Distribution Centre leaders, People & Culture Business Partners and wider Talent & Strategic Workforce Planning team.

What you’ll do
- Conduct a review of our current approach to recruitment for our weekly paid workforce, and make recommendations on how to establish the centralised function moving forward
- Partner with hiring managers to advise and consult on recruitment and selection practices
- Coach leaders on TA processes, providing insight into the external market
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders within People & Culture, Logistics and our Distribution Centres to ensure collaboration, partnering and teamwork at all times
- Manage relationships with external partners and agencies, including commercial negotiations as required
- Set up and lead a national Talent Acquisition team for Supply Chain. You will manage, coach and develop this new team and ensure performance objectives and development plans are in place
- Ensure recruitment activity supports Metcash’s strategic objectives in diversity, including gender representation, gender pay equity and remuneration principles
- Support the implementation and evolution of the Metcash EVP for our weekly paid workforce.

What you’ll bring
- Previous experience in leading a blue-collar internal recruitment function or agency desk
- Prior experience in developing and establishing hiring strategies and processes
- Solid experience in people leadership, including coaching and developing talent
- Ability to manage project and operational deliverables and budgets
- Strong skills in reporting and using data to provide resourcing insights
- High level influential and change management skills
- Good collaborator and expert in blue-collar recruitment best practices
- Knowledge of HRIS and ATS operational systems (previous experience with SuccessFactors is advantageous)
