Consumer Lead, Improvement

**About the role**:
The Consumer Lead plays a pivotal role in shaping maternity and newborn improvement projects by providing strategic consumer insights and expert guidance in the design, delivery and implementation of improvement initiatives
The role is critical to internal and external operations as explored below;
- Internally, the Consumer Lead collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Senior Maternity Advisor, Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, and the Partnering with Consumers Team, alongside the Safer Together Program leads.
- Externally, the Consumer Lead fosters strong connections with Victorian health services maternity improvement project teams, consumers, health service executives, peak bodies, and quality and safety leaders to drive meaningful and sustainable improvements.

Contribute to the delivery large-scale and evidence-based quality improvements within complex settings where multiple teams learn, adapt and spread impactful changes to accomplish a common aim through providing lived-experience expertise and insights.
Use deep understanding of coaching experience to enable health service improvement teams to maintain pace to accelerate the achievement of results.

- The Consumer Lead must had had a baby within Victoria within the last 5 years to meet lived experience requirements
**Specialist Expertise**
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality improvement and related methodologies is desirable
- Previous project management experience is essential
