About the role:

Manager, Team 1 Position 761397

The Manager Team 1, is responsible for leading and overseeing a portfolio of strategic improvement initiatives within Safer Care Victoria's Improvement Branch, focused on enhancing the quality and safety of healthcare for all Victorians.

The Manager Team 1, leads a team of improvement specialists who work collaboratively with consumers and people with lived experience, clinicians and health services to design, deliver and evaluate initiatives that apply evidence-based improvement methodologies to address system priorities, reform and deliver measurable outcomes.

In addition to providing leadership and direction to their team, the Manager also leads key program, unit and organisational level operational improvement initiatives to ensure coordinated and efficient ways of working in partnership with the leadership team.

Reporting to the Director Improvement UNIT 2, the Manager Team 1, is responsible for managing the team's work and developing their capability to create an environment in which new ideas and creative solutions to problems in healthcare delivery can be implemented and sustained. The role also works with other teams in Safer Care Victoria and engages senior clinical, practice, health sector and lived-experience executives.
