Principal Improvement Adviser, Improvement Branch

About the role:

The Principal Improvement Advisor is the lead technical expert within the Improvement Branch, responsible for advancing the implementation of evidenced based improvement methodologies underpinning the programs of work within the Improvement Branch.

Operating at a whole of program level, this role drives the integrity, discipline and scalability of improvement approaches across a portfolio of system-level initiatives aligned to SCV's strategic priorities.

The Principal Improvement Adviser leads capability building and coaching activities to embed continuous learning and adaptive change, providing expert guidance on initiative design, PDSA testing, evaluation and measurement. They work closely with health services, regional delivery partners and SCV colleagues to ensure improvement activities are methodologically robust, co-designed with end users and aligned to statewide learning health system architecture.

This role is pivotal in supporting the transition from fragmented efforts to a coordinated, sustainable model of improvement that demonstrably delivers on safety, experience, equity and efficiency outcomes.

About you:

A tertiary qualification in fields related to health, public policy and/or health administration would be desirable

A formal qualification, training and/or equivalent detailed experience in improvement science is required.
