We are looking for an entrepreneurial and analytically-driven marketer to lead and execute the next stage of Koala’s growth. In this role, you will take ownership of accelerating Koala's already impressive growth trajectory by scaling paid and organic acquisition channels while strategically managing capital allocation to drive maximum efficiency.
As the Head of Growth, you will lead and coach a growing team of marketers to develop best-in-class growth strategies that will drive Koala to become a market leader in every product category it ventures into.
We seek a curious and analytical self-starter with a proven track record of scaling paid and organic channels for direct-to-consumer brands. With an unwavering commitment to experimentation and rigorous testing, you consistently push the boundaries and explore new channels to achieve incremental growth.

**Requirements**:
- Design and lead the implementation of a growth strategy by using paid and owned media channels to grow new user acquisition and retention in a scalable and capital-efficient way
- Work with the broader Marketing & Sales team to define growth plans, channel mix, and utilise data-driven insights to drive growth across product verticals and customer segments
- Lead a team of marketers and build out a high-velocity growth marketing function by being hands-on with execution while coaching the team to optimise and maximise efficiency
- Develop and manage the media budget, oversee deployment of capital, and adjust budget allocations weekly to support key business objectives
- Design experiments and tests for marketing channels to test incrementality and channel purpose to inform future investment strategies better
- Communicate growth learnings, results, and best practices from campaigns to cross-functional teams
- Maintain and further develop strong relationships with marketing partners at Meta, Google, TikTok, etc
- Leverage customer insights and constantly monitor the competitive landscape and market conditions to identify opportunities and risks in order to adjust Koala’s growth strategy and tactics
**Ideal background**
- 5-7+ years of growth marketing experience at a high growth direct-to-consumer brand or early stage startup
- Strong experience in media planning and driving differentiated strategies across multiple channels and audience segments
- Experience working with creative teams, in particular writing briefs and approving content
- Deep understanding of programmatic media buying and experience with paid search and paid social media platforms
- Experience in analysing and reporting on digital media mix performance to a range of audiences, including marketing counterparts, business stakeholders, and senior leaders
- Team management skills, including career development and coaching
- Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally across marketing, internal stakeholders, and agency partners to launch successful tent-pole and bespoke digital marketing campaigns
- Proven track record of driving scalable, sustainable audience growth through testing, measurement, and iteration frameworks
