**The Role**:
The main purpose of this role will be to action settlements for loans as required, as well as preparing loan documentation in accordance with credit approvals, statutory legislation and company policies, and settling all transactions within a timely manner.

This role will also be responsible for escalating issues around disputed or ambiguous approval conditions to the Team Leader for resolution and reference to internal credit departments as required.

**Some Key Areas of Responsibilities will include**:
**Settlements**
- Confirm and check that all loan documentation complies and is in order.
- Notify Brokers of any irregularities and follow up outstanding documents.
- Prepare documents, as required, in accordance with credit approval, statutory legislations and company policies.
- Settle all transactions in accordance with credit approval and in line with company Policies and Procedures.

**Customer Service**
- Liaise with Brokers to provide efficient, effective and satisfactory resolution for all parties.
- Answer all calls that come through for settlement and attend to settlement enquiries.
- Conduct welcome calls confirming all loan details within one week of settlement.
- Establish and maintain relationships by providing exceptional customer service.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management where necessary.

**Risk & Compliance**

Escalate issues around disputed or ambiguous approval conditions to the team coordinator for resolution and reference to internal credit departments as required.

**Other areas of responsibility**:

- Support management and development of National Broker relationships.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and internal training programs as directed.
- Participate in team meetings and performance reviews.

**Ideal Skills & Experience you’ll need**:

- Knowledge of National Consumer Credit Protection legislation, Privacy Act and AML/CTF legislation.
- Strong financial product knowledge is desirable.
- Strong customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Outcome oriented with a customer centric mindset
