**Our client, a National insurer based in Fortitude Valley, is looking to grow their team with an experienced Recoveries & Settlements Consultant.**

To be considered for this role you are a sincere and friendly person, who will fit in with the company's positive and supportive culture. You are proactive, self-motivated and are able to show a track record of good communications, negotiating skills and technical product knowledge. You also have good time management, empathy and are able to show assertiveness with your decisions.

This role is joining a recoveries and settlements team and taking on the challenge of assissting with a portfolio of motor claims through to finalisation. A background in recoveries and settlements is essential with the addition of motor claims & debt recovery being ideal.

**The role**:

- Delivering an excellent recovery service for the business along with reviewing all claims cases as required,
- Ensuring debt is recovered or cost of liability agreed in the shortest possible time frame
- Minimising the level of outstanding debtors through close monitoring and proactive management of your individual portfolio

**Skills and experience**
- Strong knowledge of motor insurance and policy interpretation
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in motor recoveries and settlements OR 2 years in debt collecting
- Experience in end to end claims management
- Proactive people management skills
- Strategic thinker
- Strong customer focus
- Great communication skills
- The ability to negotiate and persuade
