**The Role**
We have several positions available in the Human and Decision Sciences Division of the Defence Science and Technology Group. In these roles under broad guidelines you would be responsible for the provision of effective leadership in the development of a group of scientists, engineers and technicians who make up the Science and Technology Capability (STC).
You will have a demonstrated flexibility, to quickly adapt to new and unpredicted circumstances and change plans to navigate and overcome unanticipated obstacles. As a leader you will develop a high performing team by using the complementary skills and talents of each team member, encourage innovation and identify and manage the developmental needs within your team. You will create an environment which facilitates collaboration and the sharing of knowledge and inspires and motivates staff to contribute to the high performance culture.
**About our Team**
The Human and Decision Sciences Division leads and shapes Defence’s Innovation, Science and Technology capability in support of human systems performance, war gaming and experimentation, exploration, capability analysis and analytical simulation. Our team is comprised of professionals from varied science, technology, engineering and mathematical backgrounds.
