**About the Role**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop, implement and evaluate risk management policies and programs to ensure safe and healthy working conditions.
- Train employees in occupational health and safety procedures and monitor compliance.
- Conduct workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety legislation and industry standards.
- Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of occupational health and safety management systems aligned with ISO 45001.
- Prepare and deliver safety training programs and induction sessions for employees.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimise workplace hazards.
- Monitor and audit workplace processes, plant, and chemical and physical hazards for legislative compliance.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders on health and safety matters.
- Maintain accurate records of safety activities, incidents, and compliance documentation.
- Develop emergency response procedures and conduct regular drills.
- Provide expert advice on occupational health and safety matters to management and staff.

**HEALTH AND SAFETY**:

- Comply with all requirements of the Work Health and Safety Legislation.
- Support a positive health and safety culture within the organisation.

**QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Engineering, or a related field.
- ICAM Lead Incident Investigator or similar qualifications.
- ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification.
- Emergency Response Management / Fire Safety / Spills Management certification.
- Minimum Two years' full time experience in a similar role, with strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and compliance requirements.
- Thorough understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in developing and implementing occupational health and safety management systems.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with ISO 45001 or similar management system standards preferred.
- Experience with Environmental Impact Assessment and Environmental Audits preferred.
- HRL tickets advantageous.
- Professional certification or membership with relevant safety institutes advantageous.

Work Location: In Person (Cockburn Central, WA with visits to client sites as required)

Pay: $76,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
