Public Sector People are partnering with an Australian government organisation to recruit for an Environmental Health Officer.

Contract: 6 months with potential to extend

Hourly Pay Rate: Up to $75 p/h + Super

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Food and Public Health inspections in accordance with relevant legislation and Council policies.
  • Respond to and investigate environmental, food safety and/or public health incidents and prepare evidence for enforcement action where there has been non-compliance with legislation;
  • Provide technical advice to Council, businesses and the general public on matters of environmental, food and\or public health activities;

Essential
  • Degree in Environmental Health/Science, or minimum 12 months equivalent work experience
