About the Role

Provide operational management and oversight of all business, finance, property and administration functions at Bayside Corps to support and in line with The Salvation Army’s mission, vision and values. This role involves coordination and communication with all of the facility’s stakeholders, including volunteers, community groups and members of the local corps; as well as direct line management of the Administrative Assistant and key volunteers.

This is a part time position, 30hrs located in Alexandra Hills, QLD.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Clerks Award, Level 5.

You Will Successfully
- Oversee all business, property, finance and administrative operations at the Corps, including employees and volunteers within the portfolio. This will include direct supervision, goal setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring, allocation of duties, coordination of workflow, reviewing progress and quality of work, goal setting and supporting process improvements.
- Regularly review and present reports to Corps Officers and other key leaders as required in relation to the business operations of the Corps, sharing opportunities for growth and development and system and process improvements.
- Liaise with Corps Officers and personnel on project goals and targets and overseeing the preparation of evaluation reports and specific deliverables on specific projects (including Government contracts).
- Oversee the maintenance, quality and functionality of Corps Website and Social Media platforms, and coordinate the sharing of event and program information to both the Corps and wider community through newsletter, church services, website and social media, when appropriate.
- Oversee the Corps property function including WHS compliance, SolvSafety incident reporting, ongoing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, facilities and property hiring, motor vehicle use, security systems, key register and equipment audits, liaising with relevant THQ Departments, Corps Officers and property volunteers and in line with all TSA property policy and procedures.

You Will Have
- Certificate in Business Administration desirable
- At least 2 years’ experience in administration
- Post-secondary qualifications highly regarded
- Previous church or not-for-profit management experience would be highly regarded
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong people management skills; volunteer management experience would be highly regarded.
- A national police record check is required
- Relevant state Working with Children Check is required
