**The role**
Ventia are currently seeking a Scheduler that is experienced working within a defence contract to join the Ventia team at the Amberley RAAF base. In this role you support management to ensure effective, efficient and best practice scheduling, planning, resourcing, progress monitoring and performance assessment and reporting.

**Responsibilities**
- Planning network maintenance activities and programs.
- Using MILIS for Work Order management, maintenance task scheduling, parts requisition and parts management.
- Liaising with customers for daily, weekly, monthly and yearly requirements.
- Provide clear and regular communication with team, manager and staff as well as client contacts.
- Overview the mandatory report process ensuring that all documentation is uploaded to facilitate claiming.
- Performing additional work-related responsibilities as Directed by the Commonwealth such as first aid attendant, safety committee representative, unit fire team representative and/or member of a business improvement team.
- Comply with Ventia’s Risk Management, Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environment management systems, including statutory obligations.

**Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge**
- Possess relevant qualifications in planning and scheduling.
- Experience with MILIS, the Commonwealth Mandated Information System (must).
- Experience working within a defence contract (must).
- Demonstrated Experience in planning and scheduling activities within a maintenance environment, including working with trade staff, coordinating repair parts and other resources.
- Hold a cert III mechanical trade related qualification (plus).
- Demonstrated experience in managing customer service and customer expectations.
- Good problem-solving skills, writing and analysis skills.
- Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and SAP.
- This position requires an Australian Federal Police check.
- You must be an Australian citizen and be eligible to hold an AGSVA security level “Negative Vetting 1” (Neg Vet 1) to apply.
