Design Coordinator

UGL's utilities business undertakes essential design & construction services for critical infrastructure in the power and water sectors. Our end-to-end delivery ranges from transmission lines, switchyards, substations, electrical distribution through to water and wastewater treatment plants and water pipelines.

Our expertise includes the design, construct, commission, operate and maintain where our Utilities Team safely leads and delivers design & construct projects across Australia. Our project delivery extends to include short and long-term contracts either through self-performance works, working with Sub-contractors or through Joint Ventures. Our work spans from the engineering design through to structural, civil, electrical installation works and commissioning.

**The Opportunity**

Our UGL Utilities division is currently seeking expressions of interest from Design Coordinators (Civil/Structural, EI&C, Mechanical and process) for our water division based in Collins Street, Melbourne.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

- _In accordance with UGL Management System (UGLMS), prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the project_
- _Set up and administer the project design filing system_
- _Ensure that all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members_
- _Ensure that all necessary reviews, verifications and validations are planned and conducted, and the outcomes of these are incorporated into the design_
- _Support onsite design and construction activities - onsite where required_

**About you**
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification, Bachelor status in engineering
- Construction Safety Awareness Training
- You will have a minimum 3 years of proven skills in problem solving and effective communication, the ability to meet established deadlines and have experience with Microsoft Office
- Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times
