To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Business Manager who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of professionals supporting the Royal Australian Navy’s Collins Class Submarines as part of the Combat System Manager team.

Reporting to the Program Director, the Business Manager manages the Business Cross Product Team (CPT) that provides program operations, commercial, subcontract management, procurement, data management, scheduling, cost control, quality management, global trade, finance and administrative support services to the rest of the Combat System Manager team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and coordinate all Business CPT support service activities in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.
- Key member of the CSMF Program Leadership Team.
- Develop and foster effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, including internal and functional stakeholders as well as the customer, the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG).
- Identify and escalate potential program risks and issues to CSMF Program Senior Leadership.
- As the Risk Manager for the CSMF Program, chair the monthly Risk Review Board to ensure threats and opportunities are identified, assessed and managed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify, facilitate and support Continuous Improvement and Efficiency initiatives within the Business CPT and wider CSMF Program.
- Coordinate the collection, review and reporting of monthly Program KPI and SHI data including maintenance of the Support Services Verification Matrix.
- Work in close collaboration with other Program senior managers to maintain the CSMF Program Resource Management Plan including monthly reporting.
- Act as main Point of Contact between the CSMF Program and the RAUS Global Trade Function.
- Oversee the Request for Access to Submarines Division US Controlled Technology process for the CSMF Program and other UWS programs.
- Lead, motivate and develop the Business CPT to deliver agreed support service outcomes and beyond by keeping up-to-date with emerging processes and practices relevant to the support services delivered.
- Provide supervision, mentoring / coaching and development recommendations to members of the Business CPT and ensure that they have the required capability and capacity for assigned tasks.
- Manage team performance to achieve business goals and objectives through use of the company’s performance and development cycle.
- Act in accordance with the company expectations relating to professional workplace behaviour, maintaining confidentiality and environmental, health, safety and wellbeing outcomes.
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
- Exceptional leadership, organisational, written and verbal communication, and relationship management skills
- Strong understanding of program governance, risk management, and reporting practices
- Adept at change management
- Mentor junior members of the Cross Product Team in specific functional roles supporting the CSMF
- Ability to work autonomously or with mínimal supervision to ensure delivery of completed work according to agreed schedule
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management, detailed performance measurement analysis, schedule and cost integration and managing Estimates at Completion (EACs) and Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
- Manage multiple/complex lines of communication
- Experience with management of subcontracts and supporting program level objectives
- 10+ years of experience in PMO or project management
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
The role is full time and our preference is for it to be located in Perth.
