
Transition Manager

**About the role**
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Ensure the proposed scope of the transition event is well defined, understood, and agreed by all stakeholders;
- Capture, communicate, and manage issues and risks associated with the transition;
- Develop customer, partner, supplier and all other required relationships, including processes and protocols that enables all parties to focus on delivering Best-For-Enterprise outcomes;
- Ensure key stakeholders are engaged to deliver outcomes across the Enterprise;
- Ensure stringent and effective risk management and governance across the transition delivery team;
- Manage the development of budgets associated with the transition activity and ongoing support of the new products;
- Develop and propose adjustments to the RMP-W operating model, as required, to ensure successful support of the new products;
- Deliver revised data items (plans) as required by the scope of the transition activity;
- Conduct Verification and Validation (V&V) activities as required to confirm a successful transition activity; and
- Capture, document, and communicate all lessons learnt.
**About you**
**Qualifications / Knowledge / Experience / Attributes**
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Naval Architecture, Project Management or another relevant area;
- Extensive experience in a field relevant to the sustainment of Naval Assets;
- Qualified as a practitioner of Collaborative Business Relationship Management (ISO 44001) (Desirable);
- Recognised project management qualifications or accreditations (Desirable);
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent negotiation skills, including those skills required to work effectively within a matrix organisation;
- A proven collaborative leader; and
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word and Excel.
Essential
- Extensive experience in a field relevant to the sustainment of Naval Assets.
- Proven record in managing delivery of a contract of equivalent value and complexity.
- Previous experience with the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) and/or the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).
Desirable
- Recognised project management qualifications or accreditations
- Qualified as a practitioner of Collaborative Business Relationship Management (ISO 44001);
Essential Compliance Requirements
- No restrictions to access to AEO or FOUO level or to ITAR controlled material.
- Must operate in accordance with NSM Financial Delegations of Authority.
- Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence.
- Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
