Our client is a global leader in industrial machinery manufacturing who employs over 6,700 people worldwide. Their equipment is developed and manufactured in Europe and the business has a fantastic reputation for distribution, installation and technical services across Australia and New Zealand.

**The Role**
You will be responsible for all purchasing administration once you receive orders from the sales team, you will create a card file for a new or existing product, create PO numbers, for any new stock they will create a stock code and attach this stock code to the order then send to the supplier or manufacturer.

You will document all work in progress in a spreadsheet and update accordingly. Once the product is ready to ship from Europe, you will speak to the freight forwarder to coordinate transport from the port to the warehouses.

Your main interactions will be with freight forwarders, suppliers, manufacturers, project managers and most importantly customers You will be responsible for answering any customer queries on deliveries and also proactively communicate any delays.

**Skills & Experience**
You will have excellent customer service skills coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills. You will ideally be coming from a project based business where things don’t always go according to plan and have experience managing customers expectations Previous experience importing products required for projects would be ideal. You will have strong work ethic and a positive attitude, this business truly values their culture so being the right fit for their team is critical
