
Procurement and Inventory Coordinator

**Introduction**:
Propac Industrial, as a part of the HMPS Group, are seeking an experienced, full time Procurement and Inventory Coordinator to join our Seven Hills location. Reporting to the General Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring that we provide a high customer service level to internal and external customers. The Procurement and Inventory Coordinator will achieve efficiencies in inventory management, develop excellent relationships with suppliers and customers, and support the on-site workshop, National Service, and external customers with spare parts enquiries, having responsibility for end-to-end supply chain management.
Working closely with managers and staff across the HMPS Propac Group, you will be integral in delivering on our customer and project needs. You will often be a first point of contact for service technicians and customers who will reply on you for communicating supply of spare parts. The role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong customer service skills and is solutions oriented. This exciting position will play a critical role in defining Propac Industrial’s future success.
About you
You will be a dynamic, self-starter with plenty of enthusiasm and a can-do attitude. You will be an individual who can think outside the box, have an eye for detail with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in procurement of goods and services supported by some non-complex contract development and administration
Commitment to safety, customer service delivery and high attention to detail
Proven purchasing and inventory management experience, ideally working in an automated machine manufacturing environment or similar business
Excellent people and communication skills
A ‘can do’ attitude and be a team player
Excellent computer skills, be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook
Prior experience setting-up or working with automated vertical lift or carousel parts storage systems is desirable
Demonstrated experience driving the continuous improvement of systems and processes including effective procedure and documentation writing skills
Strong analytical skills to resolve mismatches in data and information within finance and inventory systems
History of successfully delivering on team and personal KPIs
**Description**:
About the Role
Encompassing warehouse, sales, suppliers, and freight forwarders you will be responsible for:
Working with established and new suppliers to negotiate and manage lead times, quality, and pricing
Managing the end-to-end flow of materials; from ordering to receiving and warehousing, including contingency planning for late deliveries, customer issues and tracking live orders
Monitoring stock levels to ensure a workable stock is constantly maintained, identifying material requirements and ensuring timely placement of purchase orders
Coordinating with the workshop and operational support teams on material requirements and expediting urgent supplies both locally and internationally
Maintaining tight control of inventory value, working to the strategic requirements of the company
Be a key player in the implementation of a spare parts control system and assist with the development of inventory management systems and processes
Obtain customer purchase orders and enter customer orders into business systems
Provide supervision and direction to Store person
In conjunction with the Store person, receive good in, pick, pack, and dispatch orders (and stock transfers where applicable)
Coordinate, prepare, process and distribute paperwork, spare parts lists and quotes, with respect to spare parts and freight, including those for repair and modification work
Deliver clear and effective communication, liaising between the customer and other departments within the business to ensure timelines are met
Effectively manage your time and deliver excellent, timely customer service
Work with limited supervision, always adhering to safe and correct procedures
