**About the role**:
- Driving the Officeworks strategic agenda
- Supporting the business to accelerate the number of customers we “know”, increasing our knowledge of them, their needs and how they like to shop with us.
- Senior role supporting Wesfarmers building a data ecosystem
Officeworks is currently working through the delivery of an ambitious and customer-centric growth strategy while delivering on a robust productivity agenda. Our dynamic Strategy Development team have a new opportunity for an experienced and commercially astute business leader who will support the evolution of Officeworks’ enterprise level strategy and the development of functional level strategies. The short-term focus on this role will be leading Program Accelerate, a key strategic program of work that is helping Officeworks materially accelerate the number of customers we know and increasing our knowledge of them.
Leading the development (and iteration) of the Officeworks’ enterprise level and functional level strategies, key activities include:
- Supporting the development and refinement of the Officeworks strategic direction.
- Partnering with functional general managers to provide functional level strategic support (e.g. Specific category, Operations, B2B, Sustainability).
- Taking a lead role in the development of key strategic communications and presentations for both internal and external audiences such as external analyst briefings, Strategy Day Presentations, and Wesfarmers Planning Conference.
- Taking a lead role in the preparation of board papers and Officeworks Leadership team strategy related materials.
Short-term activities supporting Program Accelerate would include:
- Representing Officeworks with engagements with WES, OneDigital and Officeworks senior leadership teams
- Providing commercial/operational & technical decision support
- Providing business partnering support to the Project Sponsor around key decisions, recommendations and outcomes
- Leading the negotiation with third party suppliers to shape commercial terms, operational priorities and strategic agenda
- Managing and driving cross functional outcomes across digital marketing, store / central ops, data & analytics, merchandise and supply chain
**About you**:
Tertiary qualified, and ideally with further management (MBA) qualifications, you have a strong understanding of management consulting and/or the corporate strategy environment.
An exceptional problem solver, you can take your stakeholders on a journey to achieve their strategic vision and plans. You enjoy cross-functional engagement in a complex stakeholder environment to work solutions and drive meaningful, customer centric outcomes.
Your experience with preparation of formal business documentation and presentations is advanced. You are comfortable in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments and have established project management and organisational capability.
An exceptional communicator, your style is adaptable to all levels within an organisation with ability to influence and inspire.
