**THE ROLE**

A new opportunity to join Origin Energy’s HSE team is now available for a 6 / 12 month contract position. This position is responsible for leading an important HSE project for our Energy Supply & Operations (ESO), namely LPG and the Generation businesses.

The HSE project is reviewing the Business Unit HSE Management System and in particular reviewing the high volume of documentation and procedures that currently exists in order to remove any duplication, ensure they are user-friendly and compliant with health and safety regulations and industry standards and bring the Business Units HSE Management System in line with best practice and contemporary HSE research. This role will be responsible for developing detailed project plan, prioritising work activity, stakeholder management, and project execution.

The role is accountable to:

- Lead a discovery phase to identify the full extent of the review scope
- Lead and establish a detailed project plan including prioritisation of project scope and resource requirements
- Engage with wide range of stakeholders in the development and delivery of the project including front-line employees, leaders, HSE, legal, risk, compliance, regulators etc.
- Manage project progress and adapt work as required
- Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Report progress to governance forums
- Manage project schedule, monitoring and addressing variations to timelines, scope and objectives
- Cost control and adherence to project budgets
- Identify, log and drive resolution of Issues, Risks & Assumptions
- Develop and execute a change and comms plan to ensure project objectives are met, embedded, and sustained

**IS THIS YOU?**

This role is suited to professionals with outstanding influencing and communication skills who enjoy building and rolling out processes and frameworks. You will have 5-10 years’ experience in project management and/ or within a leadership role. As well as experience in contemporary HSE or Risk Management approaches, systems development and implementation.

You will also be able to demonstrate;
- Ability to effectively manage a variety of stakeholders
- Coaching, influencing, communication and consultation skills
- Sound knowledge of HSE and risk management processes
- Relevant legislative knowledge
- Analytical skills
- Ability to operate effectively, logically and safely in stressful situations

Desirable
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety/Engineering/Human Resources.
- Project management experience in a HSE environment
- Working knowledge of the Origin HSE and Risk systems (e.g. HSEMS, Source, OCIS) is highly desirable
