About the Role

Reporting to the HSE Manager, you'll play a key role in driving a positive safety culture across multiple sites. Your focus will be on practical, hands-on support, ensuring compliance, engaging with teams, and embedding strong safety practices into day-to-day operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting compliance with HSE legislation, company policies, and procedures.
  • Conducting inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Leading inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training.
  • Preparing reports and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partnering with managers, supervisors, and contractors to drive safe work practices.

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in HSE within rail, engineering, construction, or other high-risk industries.
  • Strong knowledge of safety legislation and risk management.
  • Confident conducting audits, investigations, and preparing reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant HSE qualifications (Diploma, ISO Auditor, Investigation highly regarded).
