Epworth Richmond is seeking Hospital Medical Officers (HMO) for roles in the Emergency Department.

As an HMO based at Epworth Richmond ED, you will report directly to the Medical Director, Emergency Department, Epworth Richmond. You will be responsible for providing care to both emergency patients and admitted patients within the department and short-stay areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career medical professional wishing to gain experience in managing acute patients at Epworth Richmond in direct consultation with, and under supervision of Emergency specialists, and other experienced Emergency personnel.

In this role you will be able to consult and treat your own patients, in both the fast-track and main department, whilst under the supervision of experienced Emergency doctors. You will be able to gain procedural skills and expertise under the teaching programme of ACEM faculty.

8-10 hour shifts will be rostered to provide 24 hour HMO coverage, across weekdays and weekends. Penalty rates apply.

**To be successful in the role you will have**:

- An AMC-recognised Australian medical degree or completion of both parts Australian Medical Council exams
- PGY3 or greater. However, PGY2 may be considered depending on experience
- General APHRA registration OR provisional APHRA registration in the Competent Authority Pathway, with a view to completing your twelve months of supervised practice within the Epworth Emergency Department.
