**About the role**

This role sits within the Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority in the Operations Group. We have regulatory responsibility, through the National Quality Framework and our state-based early childhood legislation, to raise quality and drive continuous improvement and consistency in education and care services.

The Executive Support Officer (ESO) provides a range of executive support and administrative services to facilitate the delivery of business operations and to support the achievement of organisational objectives within the Office of the Executive Director, Early Childhood Education and Care Regulatory Authority (ECEC RA).

Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Provide administrative support in a high volume, fast paced environment, including monitoring and reporting on deliverables, to ensure timely and efficient operation of the Executive Office.
- Support the Executive Officer in streamlining and communicating processes, upholding strict confidentiality and professionalism across highly sensitive information.
- Assist in the coordination and quality assurance of written material.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding task status and implementation issues.
- Maintain TRIM record management system and coordinate the creation, storage, retrieval and archiving of files to ensure the accurate and safe storage of information and its compliance with Departmental policy.
- Deliver a range of secretariat and administrative services, including monitoring the ECE inboxes, handling or redirecting enquiries and responding to correspondence to support project delivery.

**Essential requirements of the role**
- A valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education
