Consumer Banking Risk (CBR) is a centre of expertise for risk management across the whole of the Consumer Banking Division and provides strategy, risk appetite, governance, policy and framework support to the businesses within Consumer Banking to drive sound risk management practice. This includes providing guidance, assistance and support to relevant Board & Board/Management Committee members, Senior Management, internal and external stakeholders and providing leadership to enhance the further development of a strong risk culture across Consumer Banking.

About the role

As Compliance Manager
- Wealth and reporting to Senior Manager Risk and Compliance you will be responsible for supporting the further development, implementation and management of the compliance framework. The position will be actively involved in compliance projects designed to assist the business meet their regulatory obligations while achieving business objectives as well as providing operational and regulatory compliance advice in relation the Bank’s superannuation, managed funds, margin lending and other wealth services.

Key responsibilities include

Ensuring new products and services meet relevant legislative, compliance and disclosure requirements.
Provide compliance advice, support and assurance to ensure that all compliance obligations (including all license obligations) are met.
Provide assistance in the disclosure document roll over process and advice and assistance in the development and implementation of compliance/operational policies and procedures
Provide regular updates to senior management about relevant changes to the regulatory environment affecting the Wealth division.
Participating in regulatory reform projects as required to ensure new legislation is implemented effectively.

About you

To be successful you will have

Tertiary qualifications in Legal, Management or Business-related fields highly desirable.
RG 146 Qualifications ideal
Strong understanding and practical working Compliance experience within in Banking and Financial Services (Line 1 or 2)
Experience and knowledge of wealth products including regulations, legislation and processes in particular an understanding of superannuation and ideally in managed funds and margin lending
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with highly developed influencing skills
Strong collaboration and relationship management to deliver on organisational outcomes.
Proven ability to manage multiple and complex tasks and meet deadlines
