The Vendor Manager role is to establish, maintain and manage effective business partnerships between ING, Strategic Business Partners (SBP) and Key Vendors. The role requires sound knowledge of commercial and retail lending practices and experience in material outsourcing contracts and related procurement and contractual frameworks and practices
**What you will be doing**:
- Accountable for completion of applicable outsourcing activities on all steps of the lifecycle of the outsourcing agreement and ensuring that any regulatory requirements relating to outsourcing are met.
- Coordinating and managing changes to supplier and third party management processes driven by policy, regulations or improvement opportunities.
- Identifying and assessing supplier and third party risks, working with Retail, Tech and Operations teams to plan and mitigate risks and manage business continuity (in coordination with the Business Continuity Manager).
- High engagement with SBP and key vendors to facilitate efficient resolutions to any issues & events that arise.
- Working with procurement on negotiating, managing and monitoring contracts inclusive of service level agreements (SLAs) for key vendors.
- Identify areas for cost improvement through development of a category strategy.
**What you will bring**:
- 10+ years financial services experience
- 5+ years Vendor Relationship Management and/or Procurement
- Proven experience in successful initiation and implementation of change
- Proven experience in managing to a budget, forecasting and planning
- Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Sound knowledge of banking products and operations
- Sound knowledge of retail banking systems and business processes
- Understanding of Banking regulatory requirements and legislation
- Awareness of Operational Risk Management
- Degree qualified in business or finance or legal discipline
