As our Vendor Manager, your role will be to establish, maintain and manage effective business partnerships between ING, Strategic Business Partners (SBP), Key Vendors and payment schemes. Your day to day will consist of monitoring vendor performance, conducting risk assessments, driving strategic negotiations and managing contract reviews and renewals, including the uplift of new policy. Your scope will cover Payments on an enterprise wide level in this key role.

role based in
Sydney.
What you'll do
- Be accountable for completion of applicable outsourcing activities on all steps of the lifecycle of the outsourcing agreement and ensuring that any regulatory requirements relating to outsourcing are met.
- Coordinate and manage changes to supplier, third party and payment scheme management processes driven by policy, regulations or improvement opportunities.
- Identify and assess scheme, supplier and third party risks. Work with Retail, Tech and Operations teams to plan and mitigate risks and manage business continuity (in coordination with the Business Continuity Manager).
- Engage with SBP and key vendors to facilitate efficient resolutions to any issues and events that arise.
- Work with procurement on negotiating, managing and monitoring contracts inclusive of service level agreements (SLAs) for key vendors and schemes in payments.
- Identify areas for cost improvement through development of a category strategy.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Vendor Manager or similar within Financial Services. Payments experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- A strong risk background with sound knowledge of third party risk.
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management and engagement.
- An analytical mindset and the ability to to navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- The ability to lead and adapt to change.
