This role sits within the NSW Fair Trading Division in the Digital team.

**Abou**t the team**

NSW Fair Trading (FT) is responsible for the administration of property and consumer protection laws in NSW. The Fair Trading Digital team works collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to provide the best digital solutions for our customers.

**Your**day-to-day**:

- You will lead all Fair Trading Digital large-scale digital procurement, contract negotiation and execution and be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for digital procurement. You will also support team members with ongoing vendor and contract management.
- Provide guidance on all procurement, contract management and vendor relationships for the Digital team, identify issues, risks and mitigations and ensure compliance with procurement guidelines.
- Lead stakeholder engagement as part of the procurement process, communication, coordinate Briefing Notes, financial and risk management and reporting, including updates to senior executives.
- Work with the Digital team to identify and prepare appropriate market engagement (eg. RFQ, RFT, direct negotiation) activities and take part in evaluations of submissions as required.
- Support the Digital team with vendor onboarding, post procurement contract management and vendor performance monitoring.
- Champion continuous process improvement for procurement and contract management in Digital team.

**To**be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:

- Excellent communication skills, being able to explain and document complex concepts and arguments to a variety of audiences.
- Work habits that prioritise outcomes, thorough commitment to speed, flexibility and quality of deliverables with mínimal supervision.
- Experience with technology related business case development and strategy development.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills and business acumen.
- Skilled at ongoing vendor and contract management, including coordinating governance engagement, identifying areas of under/ non-performance and taking action to address.
- Knowledge and expertise in relevant technology, practices and industry trends.
- Experience in communicating and delivering to shifting priorities and deliverables.
- Experience working with ambiguity in a high-pressure environment.
- Coach and mentor team to drive continuous improvement
