Exciting opportunity to join a state government department as a experienced Human Resources Officer

**Your new company**
A State Government Department is looking for a Human Resources Officer to join their team. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis.

**Your new role**
As experienced Human Resources Officer your daily duties will include but won’t be limited to:

- Assist with the development, implementation, promotion and ongoing enhancement of the policies, procedures, and systems
- Work closely with the supervisors, managers, and directors
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge and awareness of relevant HR and employee development related issues
- Assist the people and culture team with general administrative support
- Coordinate and support recruitment activities across the commission in accordance
- Review completed recruitment processes to ensure compliance
- Report on recruitment data and diversity targets
- Ensure effective onboarding and induction processes
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant staff and stakeholders

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Experience in the delivery of a broad range of Human Resource functions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with others at all levels.
- Ability to maintain data accurately and use relevant databases for managing Human Resource Information Management Systems.
- Demonstrate organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise tasks.
- Demonstrate understanding of policies, awards and legislation related to human resource principles and practices.
