**The Role**
Straumann Group is introducing a new business unit in Australia and New Zealand and we are looking for self-driven and motivated Product Manager - Orthodontics to join our team. This role is responsible for managing and driving the Clear Aligner business. The Product Manager - Orthodontics will be responsible for managing the product (line) from market acceptance testing through to launch and growth of the portfolio. You will own the product lifecycle from planning to execution in support of organizational strategy and objectives and will be responsible for driving growth in conjunction with the Orthodontic sales team.
Reporting to the Business Manager Orthodontics your key responsibilities will be:
- Launching Clear Correct directly in Australia and New Zealand
- Market development and analysis
- Supporting Pilot projects
- Providing customer onboarding and support
- Product specialist
- Gathering and monitoring market data on environment, epidemiology, customers & patient’s needs, treatment map, competitors.
- Elaborates clear SWOT, resulting in identification of Key Issues.
- Managing the Marketing Mix (product, price, place, promotion), develops positioning and communication strategies.
- Monitoring and measuring implementation of the plan against agreed measures (i.e. market growth, product growth and market share).
- Understands and is familiar with P&L dynamics and maximizes these to
- Develops creative product/brand campaigns reinforcing the positioning.
- Designs and develops promotional materials reinforcing the product/brand positioning and competitive advantage.
- Presents clear product and market strategy to sales team.
- Evaluates effectiveness of promotional material with field. Develops sales tools to help drive sales.
- Manages and determines allocation of samples in line with product strategy, where relevant to the market.
- Co calls with sales team to coach and monitor market dynamics.
- Identifies marketing opportunities based on dental information, market knowledge, and competitor knowledge. Understands treatment trends. Builds and maintains global Straumann network and relationships through attendance of regional/global workshops.
- Builds cross-functional team effectiveness with marketing, sales, regulatory, medical colleagues to ensure successful delivery of strategies. Shares best practice and learning with marketing colleagues to build knowledge and competence. Maintains good interpersonal relationships.
- Takes responsibility for personal development.
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in product management and/or marketing role;
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in dental industry, implant dentistry and in the area of digital dentistry would be an advantage;
- A bachelor’s degree in business and/or marketing related field from an accredited institution or equivalent professional qualification is preferred;
- Relevant dental product and industry knowledge;
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- The ability to quickly adapt and learn new software.
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office - Word/Excel).
- Must be a team player.
Critical to the success of this role is also being a self-starter with the ability to work autonomously, being highly organised and having excellent communication and presentation skills.
