
Ecommerce Trade Manager

This is a high-profile strategic position to manage and drive the optimisation of the company’s online sales and digitally influenced in-store sales at the largest petcare retailer in Australia. It requires somone with capabilities to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders across departments as well as demonstrated agility in working with the digital and ecommerce teams, pricing and category teams.
The key areas of focus are the development of trading promotions, pricing, stock and inventory management, merchandising, site search and putting forward and challenging the status quo with trading ideas that are both creative and commercial. You will work cross-functionally with relevant departments to ensure the online store is merchandised with the applicable products, ensuring stock levels are managed and making recommendations and optimise and drive sales opportunities.
**Key responsibilities**:
Manage trade promotions and optimising merchandising online
Manage the online and omnichannel trade calendars daily and weekly
Responsible for the team generating copy and imagery for any new products, auto merchandising and site search
Working with pricing team to ensure the selected product range is correct and competitive in the online marketplace
Proactive data analysis for reporting daily and weekly
Identify gaps and opportunities
Competitor Research
Participate in available promotional activity and implement recommendations to drive volume and optimise store sales
Provide Supply Chain with forecasted order volumes & work closely with the supply chain team to ensure product range on the website.
Provide key stakeholders with detailed data driven reporting to enable recommendations and decisions that drive improved performance
Develop new partnerships and product and service offering innovation to drive new exclusive revenue streams or new customer acquisition
Responsible for SEO optimisation tactics working alongside CRO and Analytics Manager
Increase digital footprint through innovation, trade tactics, strategic partnerships, achievements such as awards and accolades for superior highly personalised digital journey
Provide a seamless online digital experience for customers
**Essential skills required**:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field required
7+ years of experience as an Ecommerce trading manager with proven success in a fast-paced retail environment
Advanced excel and analytical stills
Extensive experience developing digital marketing and ecommerce trading plans
Relationship building and influencing skills with cross functional stakeholders (e.g. IT, Marketing, Product, Operations) and external providers
Positive, impactful and collaborative
Knowledge of an omnichannel ecommerce platform with full end to end trading, stock management, listing products, driving sales and post-sale customer experience
Previous experience of direct to consumer website trading is essential
Strong project management skills with an organised, detailed and methodical approach
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
