Our client is seeking a highly seasoned and dynamic National WHSE (Work Health Safety and Environment) Coordinator to join their team in Australia. The National WHSE Coordinator will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance across their operations nationwide.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing evaluation of WHSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Provide strategic direction and guidance to regional WHSE teams, fostering a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Conduct thorough audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate control measures.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive initiatives aimed at reducing incidents, injuries, and environmental impact, including the development of targeted safety campaigns and initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for WHSE-related inquiries and escalations, providing expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders and external partners as needed.
- Monitor WHSE performance metrics and key performance indicators, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee the investigation of WHSE incidents and near misses, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive measures.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive WHSE training and awareness programs for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry best practices.
- Stay abreast of emerging WHSE trends, regulations, and technologies, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance the organization's WHSE management systems and practices.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on WHSE performance, initiatives, and accomplishments for senior management and key stakeholders, highlighting successes and areas for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in WHSE management, preferably in heavy equipment manufacturing or similar industry.
- Strong expertise in WHSE regulations, standards, and best practices, with a proven ability to implement effective solutions.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of influencing and engaging stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in driving change and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
