The Position

You will act as the 2IC for the Melbourne Production team, supporting day-to-day operations while maintaining high standards of quality across all mechanical items produced in house and by local subcontractors. You will also play a key role in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring WHSE remains a top priority and that CEA continues to achieve the highest levels of safety performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Melbourne Production Manager as required. This may include overseeing site security and visitors, assisting with on boarding and inductions, and liaising with stakeholders and landlord.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and audit requirements.
- Provide support to the Melbourne quality team.
- Coordinate Internal and external NCR’s and conduct root cause analysis as required.
- Support the implementation of WHSE policies and procedures locally.
- Conduct risk assessments and work with stakeholders to create Safe Work Instructions for all new and existing plant/processors
- Participate in incident reviews, audits, and risk assessments.

About You

- Previous manufacturing experience working in Quality.
- Proven experience in Workplace Health and Safety.
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, R&D, or similar operational environment.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Practical knowledge WHSE (Victorian) legislation. Current First Aid accreditation.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an AGSVA clearance – Baseline
