**About Us**:
The Victorian Government is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy safe and responsible liquor licensed environments.

On 1 July 2022 Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) was established as the independent Victorian liquor regulator. LCV comprises the VLC and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety.

LCV supports the independent VLC by providing operational and administrative support and by performing various regulatory functions for Victoria's liquor industry under delegation including:

- undertaking licensing, approval, authorisation and registration activities
- supporting industry to comply with all laws and regulations, and to detect and respond to contraventions of the _Liquor Control Reform Act 1998_ (LCR Act).

The VLC comprises Commissioners appointed by the Governor in Council and is responsible for independent regulatory decision making.

As part of LCV, the Commission Secretariat and Tribunal Registry team ensures efficient governance and risk management of the VLC business and also provides registry and secretarial services to commissioners in both their tribunal and board functions.

The Commission Secretariat and Tribunal Registry team participates in the development, implementation, monitoring and review of governance and risk management policies and procedures.

**About the Role**:
The Secretariat provides end-to-end service delivery to support robust decision-making by Commissioners and staff, focussing on the provision of administrative/secretariat services for the conduct of meetings and private and public hearings.

Some of your duties will include:

- Mananaging agendas.
- Timely preparation and presentation of papers for meetings and hearings.
- Communicating commission secretariat and registry processes effectively to colleagues and senior internal and/or external stakeholders.

**About You**:

- Demonstrated expertise in the provision of effective secretariat services, preferably within a public service environment.
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills.
- Excellent time management and multi tasking skills.

Qualifications:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience are desired.
