**About Scope**
Scope’s purpose is to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive. We support people with physical, intellectual and multiple disabilities to achieve their goals. Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, short term accommodation (respite), social connections, lifestyle options, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.
**About your role**:
Supporting the Head of Safeguarding, you will play an integral part in leading the organisation to meet and maintain NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (NDIS), Department of Social Services (DSS), and other mandatory registration requirements while ensuring readiness for external audits. The role involves collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including but not limited to the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS legislation, and National Standards for Disability Services.
**Your key focus**:
- Ensure Scope meets all accreditation standards and successfully navigates external compliance audits.
- Undertake and coordinate a program of self-assessments against relevant Standards eg. NSDS, NDIS Practice Standards, ISO22000, HACCP.
- Recognise deficiencies from relevant Practice Standards self-assessments and ensure a plan is created and executed in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to address and rectify the identified gaps.
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Risk, Compliance, and Assurance Team, using internal audits to ensure standards compliance and audit preparedness.
- Work with the Document Control Team to keep the Scope Quality Management System compliant with relevant standards and laws.
- Partner with the Quality Team to ensure service delivery is aware of and complies with applicable standards and legislation.
- Promote and lead a quality culture, empowering and resourcing staff to appreciate that quality is about the people Scope supports, not compliance alone.
