Melbourne Pain Group is a fast-paced multi-specialist practice that is expanding at a rapid rate. We are looking for a new team member to join our group. This is a part-time position and will be an immediate start for an Administration Officer to join our clinic in Pascoe Vale.

**Applicants for this position must demonstrate**:

- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Empathy and compassion for people in chronic pain
- Professional and personable phone manner
- Ability to assist people of non-English speaking backgrounds
- Ability to learn and operate new software quickly and efficiently
- Ability to multitask
- Knowledge of health funds and Medicare payments preferred
- Past experience in a hospital or medical practice preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills
- Must be enthusiastic and self-motivated
- Must have the ability to cope with a fast-paced environment
- Medical typing experience, or typing experience with a medical terminology course highly regarded
- Genie Solutions trained preferred

**The role entails**:

- Reception work including meeting and greeting patients upon arrival, making appointments, and processing patient payments
- Managing outgoing and incoming correspondence
- Managing multiple doctors' appointment schedules across several sites
- Acting as main point of contact for telephone queries and directing calls quickly and efficiently to the appropriate staff
- Invoicing of patient accounts
- Checking IME paperwork for the legal team
- Helping other departments when possible
- Scanning and filing
- Any other duties as directed by the Practice Manager

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $40,660.00 - $52,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Pascoe Vale, VIC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- MS Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical receptionist: 1 year (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
