**Onganisation Overview**

A new state government entity, MAP Co is responsible for the delivery of the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project as well as the operations, programming, promotion and maintenance of Federation Square and the new Melbourne Arts Precinct public spaces.

Set to boost Melbourne's standing as a creative and cultural capital and to harness the immense potential of one of the most vibrant arts corridors in the world, MAP Co is delivering capital projects including the $1.7 billion Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation project that includes, The Fox: NGV Contemporary, a new gallery dedicated to contemporary art and design; an 18,000 square metre public open space in the heart of the precinct; significant upgrades to the State Theatre; and new restaurants and bars throughout the space.

Federation Square supports a diverse mix of businesses that service residents, CBD workers and local and international visitors alike. It is proudly home to nationally significant resident cultural institutions the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT), the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia (NGVA) and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI). MAP Co works collaboratively with these organisations to support and leverage a wholistic approach to precinct programming.

**About the Role**

MAP Co is seeking a Production Coordinator to coordinate and support multiple aspects of technical production at Fed Square, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality customer service.

Reporting to Production Manager, the Production Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining effective communication among team members, coordinating related production schedules, and facilitating the execution of technical production. The presentation of these events at an excellent level will attract high visitation to Fed Square and enhance the overall precinct experience

**Key Accountabilities**
- Assist the Production Manager in coordinating a range of activities for Fed Square's scheduled programming of arts and cultural, community and corporate events, including live performances, functions, festivals, and visual arts programming.
- Support the implementation of technical, operational, and venue-specific requirements, such as production schedules, maintaining accurate costing and financial tracking data, and sourcing production equipment.
- Collaborate with artists, promoters, and corporate clients to understand their project needs; in consultation with the Presentation Services team, provide realistic parameters and opportunities for event realisation
- Collaborate with the Production Manager to assist independent companies develop critical documentation, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all production risks and hazards.
- Assist in procuring and coordinating technical aspects of event production, including sound, lighting, staging, and rigging equipment, ensuring exceptional quality standards.
- Operating audio-visual equipment as required for events.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, such as the events team, venue supervisors, suppliers, contractors, and clients, to ensure all technical requirements are met effectively.
- Contribute to project management efforts for technical equipment upgrades in the capital expenditure plan.
- Utilise event management software to streamline business processes and ensure accurate information management.
- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of production equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues and providing timely solutions to meet the requirements of the event.
- Comply with the duty of care for occupational health and safety (OH&S) to ensure adherence to WorkSafe and OH&S requirements, thereby fostering a safe workplace environment for all stakeholders.
