The Role

The Production Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of a high-volume FMCG manufacturing facility. In this fast-paced environment, the role is responsible for monitoring, entering, and closing production orders in the ERP system, ensuring all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging are accurately tracked and recorded. The position requires close collaboration with production, warehouse, and quality teams to prevent delays, resolve discrepancies, and maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities also include verifying usage data and ensuring all records are complete and compliant with company standards. The role is suited to someone who values precision, works accurately with data, and contributes to seamless production operations in a dynamic, high-volume office setting. In addition, there will be potential for the right person to train and develop into a junior production planning role, providing career growth within the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter, update, and close production orders in the ERP system.
  • Verify and reconcile usage of raw materials, ingredients, and packaging against production runs.
  • Monitor open production orders, ensuring timely closure and accurate reporting.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate production records for traceability, audit, and compliance purposes.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies or variances to production, warehouse, or quality teams for resolution.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on production order status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support process improvements in data entry, reporting, and system usage to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced FMCG environment to ensure information flows smoothly.
  • Create, maintain and amend production schedules based on day to day operations to ensure business KPI's are met

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in data entry, administration, or production support (FMCG or manufacturing environment highly regarded).
  • High level of accuracy, precision, and attention to detail in handling production data.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to remain focused and efficient in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
