**Job Description**:
**Collaboration**
- Work collaboratively with the local team and global systems architecture team at all levels across the organisation to ensure that our digital and technology services operate at highest availability and efficiency
- In collaboration with the Regional Head, manage the budgeting for all requirement local technology infrastructure needs including forecasting and support / maintenance renewal

**Communication**
- Communicate business critical metrics to local senior management and the global technology executive team
- Provide guidance and advice to operational and production teams on technology challenges
- Effectively communicate project progress and spread awareness of technology innovation

**Team Leadership**
- Own the planning and prioritising of the Technology team resources across Infrastructure Operations, Systems Infrastructure, Technical Operations and Editorial
- Ensure effective use of staff time and skills, empowering your team to get clarity about their responsibilities and deliverables and contributing to our resource planning activities
- Ensure teams are well-balanced and have (or to have access to) the correct technical skills to succeed
- Encourage controlled innovation in the delivery of both technology and support processes

**Problem Solving**
- Co-ordinate wider technical expertise to focus on Incident and issue management
- Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the technology stack

**Technical Understanding**
- Provide technical leadership and direction at a studio level encouraging controlled innovation and improvement in the data systems, processes, and workflows
- Lead on the technical aspects of our business continuity and security for optimisation of our infrastructure and support services
- Proactively use monitoring tools to forecast technology areas requiring support, optimisation or innovation

**Qualifications**:
**Skills and Experience**:

- Management and leadership experience in a technology role similar sized organisation or business unit
- Hands-on experience of agile delivery management with mixed teams of inhouse and external resources
- Experience of successfully building, managing and motivating multidisciplinary inhouse technical teams
- Experience of technology operations management and the use of new technologies to improve cost effectiveness and performance
- Experience of managing technology-enabled change projects
- Experience of setting up and managing outsourced contracts for delivery and development of technology solutions and services
