**The Role**
The Anzac SPO Security and Facilities Officer is responsible for:

- Delivering Security Management of the Anzac SPO at the Naval Capability Centre in Henderson (WA) and Garden Island (NSW).
- Delivering Facilities Management and Administration Support within the Anzac SPO.
- Interpret and comply with policy, regulations, guidelines, instructions and procedures in relation to estate planning and development.
- Assist with the development and planning of assigned activities of estate maintenance programs (Fire Warden / Emergency Management with Security Guards and Access).
- Providing accurate, impartial and forthright advice to colleagues, stakeholders and clients.
- Supervise a small team consisting of Business Support and Administration Support positions - delegation and oversight of tasks, responsibilities and performance / productivity management.

This position reports to the APS 6 Business Manager and is accountable to the Anzac SPO Director and Commercial Director for the delivery of Security IAW the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF).

The Working Environment includes:

**About our Team**
The Anzac SPO sits within the Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group / Maritime System Division
(MSD) / Major Surface Ships (MSS) Branch. The headquarters for the Anzac SPO is located in Henderson
WA.

The Anzac SPO is primarily a governance, assurance and strategic planning enterprise, which
undertakes a governance and assurance role over the variety of outsourced performance based
commercial contracts.

These contracts span engineering, maintenance and logistics operations disciplines.
The Anzac SPO Security and Facilities position sits within the Commercial and Governance team.

We are seeking a motivated, self-starter and high performing leader who exemplifies professionalism through their leadership, and who enjoys working collaboratively on a broad range of security, facilities and administrative support tasks to achieve outcomes. Someone who can communicate with influence, cultivate highly productive relationships and achieve significant results within defined timeframes.

You will have:

- Demonstrated experience as a Security Officer in Defence (highly desirable) or extensive knowledge of security requirements.
- Demonstrated experience as a Facility Manager with an understanding of Defence estates services (highly desirable) or experience in property management including resolving facilities support issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and negotiate with influence both internal and external stakeholders.
- The ability to work in a busy workplace, whilst managing multiple competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff, and experience having difficult or challenging conversations.
- You must also hold, or be willing to obtain, a NV1 Security Clearance.
