Project Supervisor

**Description**:
Due to recent growth, Spectran Group are looking to expand our team with a positive, driven and experienced Project Supervisor for our Civil Division.
This position reports directly to the Project Manager and assists in coordinating site activities and liaising with internal labour resources, subcontractors, suppliers and clients. The Project Supervisor ensures various tasks are carried out in line with site requirements and in compliance with all relevant legislation.
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Leading from the front and driving our culture and vision to lead the industry through safety & efficiency;
- Providing effective leadership and supervision through ‘on the ground’ presence, direction, guidance and feedback to teams and individuals;
- Interpret and explain construction drawings, contract and technical information to both onsite workers and other professionals;
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety codes, and other regulations. Inclusive of preparation of SWMS and specific project management plans
- Effectively managing resources including rostering and machinery maintenance schedules to ensure efficient production rates;
- Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual requirements;
- Resolving problems and conflict arising within the crew;
- Liaising with the client to ensure that their requirements are met;
- Providing timely and accurate information to meet management and Client requirements;
**The successful applicant will have**:
- years of experience in supervisory/management role
- Demonstrated understanding of civil plant and equipment operations and maintenance;
- Ability to read and review construction drawings and plans
- Someone who champions a safe working environment
- Experience with and confident using Microsoft Office and maintenance related systems etc;
- Effective planning ability, time management, and prioritisation;
- Possess confident ability to organise and lead diverse teams effectively;
- A proven communicator across the entire workforce, with the ability to effectively liaise with other employees, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors;
- Be a self-starter with high levels of self-motivation and initiative.
- Have proven strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as systems knowledge.
**Skills Required**:
- Civil Trade qualifications or equivalent
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Cert IV in Training and Assessing / WHS (Desirable)
- Extensive Civil Construction/ Remediation Experience
- Driver’s license required
