Bay Building Group is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia. Operating nationally, for 35+ years we have specialised in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact and malicious damage.

**About the Role**

The Major Loss & Specialty Supervisor role is a multi-site-based position working on jobs in Hobart and Southern Tasmania. The Supervisor works alongside the team’s estimators, project coordinators, contractors/suppliers and key stake holders and reports to the TAS Project Manager.

Responsibilities include the delivery of site based WHS compliance requirements, overall delivery of works and site supervision of the allocated projects, ensuring high levels of site safety and quality, timely and cost-effective delivery of projects to our clients in line with legislative and company policies.

**Key activities include**:

- Active input into repair methodologies for each site-based project
- Organisation and scheduling of allocated projects
- Strong focus on client service level requirements and delivery time frames
- Liaising with all stakeholders to provide regular updates
- Attending and chairing site meetings with circulation of minutes

**Key Professional Skills and Qualifications (required)**:

- Certificate III Carpentry and Building
- Minimum five years working as a Site Supervisor/Foremen under a licensed builder running multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in both domestic and commercial construction projects
- The ability to accurately read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail with excellent communication skills

**Key Professional Skills and Qualifications (desirable)**:

- Certificate IV Building
- Thorough understanding of the construction process, methodology, critical inspection/hold points, required statutory compliance and WHS compliance
- Track record of establishing and maintaining long term relationships/accounts
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills
