SEC Newgate Engage focuses on community and stakeholder engagement. We assist our clients to work constructively with project neighbours, stakeholders and the wider community, using innovative and best practice engagement and research tools. We seek a project manager to join us and be part of the development of small and dynamic team. We're looking for capable, organised people to help us with projects, working in effective multi-disciplinary teams. These include opportunities to undertake occasional in-house client work.

**Job tasks and responsibilities**:

- Effectively liaising with clients, the SEC Newgate team and project stakeholders to create successful engagement programs and consider issues
- Developing community and stakeholder engagement strategies and leading their implementation
- Writing engagement reports, data analysis graphic design coordination and preparing amazing presentations to a high level of quality
- Managing stakeholder issues for projects and preparing community and media information collateral packs
- Managing project budgets and variations to accurately track financial outcomes
- Working with project brand and style guides
- Working with project delivery staff to solve community related issues
- Coordinating project meetings, community events, site tours, site inspections etc
- Facilitating small community sessions and discussions
- Consistently delivers highly engaging reporting for clients and their projects

**Your practical skills and experience should include**:

- Tertiary qualifications in communications or a related discipline, or relevant experience
- More than 5 years in community engagement and/or stakeholder relations experience
- Excellent writing, influencing, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Confidence in building solid relationships with stakeholders to ensure project success
- Ability to independently plan and manage workload priorities across multiple clients and projects
- Flexibility regarding occasional work outside normal business hours

**Ideally you have**:

- Knowledge and experience within major infrastructure development and delivery in metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW
- A Drivers licence
- IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation

**And you are**:

- Interested in the political and policy and infrastructure development process, current affairs, and the media
- Highly organised with an eye for detail
- Collaborative and adaptable with a can-do attitude, flexibility and great interpersonal skills
- Curious and proactive to identify innovative ideas to progress projects for clients
- Calm and dedicated with a good sense of humour and ability to balance multiple deadlines to contribute effectively and constructively to your project teams and across multiple practice areas
- Committed to ongoing professional development
