**The Company**

JMA is a medium sized private Architectural practice based in South Melbourne. JMA has a strong focus on company culture and rewarding hard work, this philosophy has resulted in a very low staff turnover rate and a great team of Architects, Interior Designers and Administrative management and support staff.

**The Role**

We are seeking an Architect to work directly with a Director and/or Senior Associate, and would be the secondary contact on a full range of project types ranging from $1M to $20M.

**Essential Requirements**
- Ability to work autonomously with mínimal supervision
- Sound understanding of local codes and statutory requirements
- Ability to provide project team leadership on all stages of a project - feasibility studies, conceptual design, design development, construction documentation, contract administration, consultant coordination and client liaison
- Excellent time management skills - ability to work to deadlines, prioritise and multi-task
- Relationship building skills to work effectively with Director, Associates, clients, sub-consultants, authorities and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills including advanced level of English, both written and oral
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Project, Word etc
- Valid Driver’s Licence

**Preferred Requirements**
- ARBV Registration desirable, but not essential
- Visa holder or permanent resident

**Experience**

You should have some experience in at least some of these project types:

- Primary and/or Secondary Schools
- Childcare
- Commercial - new and refurbished office buildings
- Commercial fitouts
- Industrial projects

**Salary**:

- $100k plus super (negotiable)

**Work arrangements**:

- Full
- time, 37.5 hours per week

- Proficiency with CAD, and as a secondary requirement REVIT
