Practice Manager role for VetWest Animal Hospitals South Perth

Vetwest Animal Hospital South Perth is looking for a full-time/part-time Practice Manager to join the team.

South Perth is a busy multi vet practice that also hosts a boutique boarding facility, Cats in the City. The team operate with integrity, striving to be exceptional, compassionate and professional in all aspects of veterinary care. The days are busy but rewarding with a large variety of medical cases and surgery.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice
- The co-ordination of all practice administrative tasks (including but not limited to rosters, stock control and facilities management)
- Cultivate strong relationships with the team and provide the support and mentoring to assist them to reach their goals and potential.
- The implementation and co-ordination of staff training programs
- Recruitment and performance management of team members
- WHS Compliance
- Implementation of clinic budgets and ongoing assessment of performance via various reporting tools and clinic P&L's to achieve expected outcomes.

What you’ll bring:

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- 2+ years of experience working in a Practice Manager/Team Leadership role or the capability to do so with senior nursing skills
- Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to provide coaching for team members and to build a positive culture in your team
- Strong communication skills
- Good business acumen and organisational skills
- Ability to keep calm under pressure
- Ability to adapt and support change within the team and clinic
- Have a passion and vision for growth
- High level of customer service skills and confidence in resolving client complaints
- Experience with OpenVPMS (preferred, but not essential)
