Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS5 Program Officer on a section 26 transfer, or a non-going contract for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of an extension.
**Position Overview**
**_We are seeking a program officer who:_**
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
- Has the ability to contribute towards achieving program and policy outcomes within the required timeframe.
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Is able to critically analyse information and contribute towards solving problems, including understanding legislative requirements.
- Has expertise in one or all of the following:
- Law/accounting/finance
- Program and contract management.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**_The successful applicant will:_**
- Contribute towards the delivery of a broad range of venture capital programs.
- Work with key internal and external stakeholders on complex issues relating to the administration of venture capital programs.
- Ensure program compliance with legislative, financial and administrative frameworks.
- Liaise with program fund managers on fund requests and compliance with program guidelines and directions.
- Assess committee papers to ensure they meet legislative requirements and guidelines.
**Mandatory Requirements**:
- This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
