**Your new company**
This well-known Federal Government Department is based in Woden, Canberra and responsible for the development and delivery of policies and programs to ensure better services for all Australians. They are seeking a high performing APS5 or APS6 Program Officer to join their team to provide advice and support for granting, business process and training activities.

**Your new role**
You will be responsible with handling documentation to do with grants, approving resources for training that the team needs and supporting secretariat and administrative functions. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Developing, maintaining and assessing the processes, templates and documentation for pre-award granting activities. These include grant opportunity guidelines, outcomes, commitment approvals and ministerial briefs.
- Collaborating with the policy team and providing quality control of all pre-award submissions before they get submitted to the CEO for clearance.
- Maintaining the TRIM records for approved submissions for various investments.
- Providing advice, support and training to the team on pre-award granting activities, business processes and policies including development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), flow charts, checklists and tip sheets.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of a tracking spreadsheet detailing the team's pre-award grant opportunities and ensuring the clearance of grant documentation is in a timely manner.
- Providing secretariat support for regular forums including minutes, action registers, risk and issues registers and meeting preparation.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful for this position, you will have previous experience within a similar position and within Federal Government. You will also have experience in grants, administration and secretariat support, building positive rapport with internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to be flexible and resilient in a fast-paced environment.

To be considered for this role you will need to be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
