**Your new role**

On behalf of a large Federal Government, we are looking for an experienced Program Officer. This is 6 month non-ongoing position, with possibility for extension.

Your new role as an APS5 Program Officer will involve managing a hotline mailbox to assist in program management, undertaking some policy work to undertake relevant research and drafting of policy papers.

Your primary responsibilities are:

- Managing the day to day running of the complaint hotline mailbox
- Training support staff in complaint hotline processes
- Drafting and sending cleared responses
- Documenting enquiries and complaints through a database
- Escalating enquires as necessary
- Drafting ministerial correspondence relating to training and assessment issues
- Assist with the policy support, through undertaking research and drafting policy papers

**What you'll need to succeed**

Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success. You will display the ability to maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, excellent organisational skills, proficient writing skills and an understanding of the Australian Government, Public Sector environment.

Security requirements: You must be an Australian citizen and possess or be willing to go through the process to obtain and maintain a Baseline Personnel Security Clearance.
