**One of Berry Street’s responses to help reduce this statistic is establishing a new State-Wide function to work alongside our regional teams providing carer-focused, responsive, and informative support to potential new and current carers.**:
**As our State-Wide Carer Recruitment Officer, you will work with the Senior Manager to recruit and retain more foster carers and provide critical support to both our foster and kinship carers across Victoria to ensure all children and young people have the support they need to thrive. This includes**:
Leading a comprehensive state-wide approach to carer retention, development, training, and capacity building, including kinship carer support.

Providing carer focused, responsive and informative support to potential new and current carers, including:

- Responding to carer enquiries.
- Undertaking detailed screening conversations and report writing.
- Conducting compliance checks.
- Assisting with state-wide community engagement activities.

This is a permanent role with an annual salary range of $80 - $95K plus super and the option of salary packaging.

The location of this role is flexible and can be based at any of our Berry Street offices. Full-time or Part-time options are also available.
