The Role As Program & Practice Manager – Medical Services, you'll lead the operational and strategic direction of the Medical Program, which includes GPs, specialists, and practice nurses. This is a dynamic role combining service coordination, workforce management, and financial oversight, with a strong focus on the social determinants of health and holistic, multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational and people leadership to the Medical Services team (GPs, nurses, and admin)
  • Deliver high-quality, integrated, and sustainable primary care services aligned with community need
  • Oversee compliance with accreditation, infection control, and clinical governance standards
  • Lead continuous quality improvement through audits, reporting, and feedback systems
  • Optimise MBS billing processes and ensure financial sustainability through revenue oversight
  • Drive workforce planning, recruitment, and onboarding in line with organisational goals
  • Develop and implement operational plans in alignment with NRCH's strategic priorities

About You We're seeking a confident and collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, a solution-focused mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality client care. You'll be able to make sound decisions, motivate and support teams, and build strong relationships with stakeholders and community members. With a strong understanding of the social model of health, you'll be driven to make a real impact through culturally safe, inclusive and responsive services. 

You will have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Health Administration/Practice Management or Business

    At least 3 years' experience managing a multidisciplinary or general practice health program/practice
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with Medicare billing and funding models
  • Leadership experience with a track record of motivating teams and improving service delivery
  • A passion for health equity, with a commitment to delivering inclusive care to vulnerable population.
  • Knowledge of RACGP standards and government policy impacting primary healthcare
  • Experience with Cubiko and Best Practice software or similar
  • WWC and Police check - either currently have or willing to obtain
